Moore Named SCAC Player of the Week

January 22, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw junior point guard Mike Moore has been selected as Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played from January 14-20. The honor is the second for Moore this year and third in his career.
Moore averaged 21.5 points, 5.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.0 rebounds per game as the Tigers swept SCAC road games at Colorado College and Austin College.
With an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.3 on the weekend, Moore saved his most impressive performance for Sunday. After catching a finger in the eye during Friday's 97-63 victory at Colorado College, the junior guard was a game-time decision on Sunday.
Moore not only played but scored a career-high 32 points on 10 of 17 shooting from the field, which included 5 of 7 from three-point range to lead the Tigers to the 86-70 victory.
He knocked down 14 of 23 field goal attempts on the weekend (60.9%), including 8 of 11 (72.7%) from three-point range, and was a perfect 7 of 7 from the free-throw line.
For the season, Moore is averaging 16.3 points (fifth in the SCAC) and leads the SCAC in both assists (6.69 per game) and free-throw percentage (86.8%). He is also sixth in the league in three-point field goal percentage (43.0%) and seventh in three-point field goals made (2.50 per game).
