Jessica Bremer is beginning her second year as an assistant coach with the cross country and track and field programs.
In her brief time at DePauw, Bremer has become a key cog in the recruitment of student-athletes, through assisting the rest of the coaching staff in correspondence and recruiting trips. Additionally, she helps create training regimens for her squads and coaches throughout practices and meets.
Prior to coming to DePauw, Bremer was an integral part of the recruitment of student-athletes to Manchester University (formerly Manchester College) as she held the role of cross country recruiting secretary while also being part of the cross country and track teams.
Bremer’s collegiate athletic experience was one that will go down in Spartan lore as she was a leader on both the cross country and track and field teams.
In cross country she was named a three-time captain and earned an all-conference honors three times. A two-time all-region selection, she was the team MVP on two occasions while leading the Spartans to a pair of Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) championships.
Bremer was a star on the track as well, collecting seven HCAC titles, setting two conference records, earning four team MVP awards and two berths in the NCAA Championships (800 meter). She also served as the team captain three times.
A 2011 graduate of Manchester, Bremer is currently pursuing her master’s degree in public health from Indiana State University (Terre Haute, Ind.)
