Title: Assistant Coach

Jon Stover is entering in his first season as assistant men’s and women’s cross country and track and field coach at DePauw after spending two years as an assistant at Wartburg College (Iowa).
While at Wartburg, Stover served as the assistant cross country and track coach. He was responsible for managing the recruiting database and other recruiting tasks, while also assisting in developing a training schedule for his athletes.
During Stover’s tenure, Wartburg won two national track titles (women’s), two indoor team titles, one outdoor team title, and had a runner up finish at nationals for cross country. He coached 13 All-Americans, two 5k individual national champions (women’s), and helped the women’s team set a Division III indoor scoring record.
A 2011 graduate of Wartburg, Stover was a four-year member of the cross country and track and field teams, being named captain twice for cross country and once for track. He helped the team win three indoor championships and one outdoor championship, while also being named to the All-Conference team for three events and earning All-Region honors for cross country in 2010.
Stover received technical certification from the USA Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA). He was also involved in Dance Marathon and a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
He earned his B.A. majoring in business management (finance) with a minor in communication arts and is pursuing a master’s degree from Indiana State University.
