August 5, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - Garnering over one-third of the total vote, the Monon Bell football rivalry was voted at Indiana's best rivalry by visitors to ESPN.com.
As part of its "50 States in 50 Days" promotion, ESPN.com polled visitors to its Web site on the top attractions of each state, and the Monon Bell Classic was among the choices under "best rivalry." Finishing second was the Indiana-Purdue basketball rivalry.
