DePauw rolls to 10-0 win in season opener

Four different players scored two goals apiece to lead DePauw to a 10-0 season-opening win over Marian (Wis.) at the Wabash Soccer Classic in Crawfordsville.
Craig Lippincott, Andrew Penalva, Bryce Skeeters and Ryan Pugliano each scored twice while Page Cotton and Brandon Pope added one each in the win. Kyle Stefankiewicz assisted on two of the goals with Evan Shook, Andrew Kirk, Mark Prosser, Danny Antle and Pugliano each adding one.
DePauw scored three-first half goals in a 5:13 span midway through the first half to take a 3-0 lead. They then scored five times in the first 14 minutes of the second half to extend the lead to 8-0.
Three DePauw players shared the shutout in goal including Wes Molyneaux, Kyle Clemens and Drew Johnson.
The 10 goals by the Tigers were the most since they scored 14 against Franklin in 1997.
DePauw faces Kalamazoo College tomorrow at 3 p.m. at Wabash College.Back
