Tigers finish 30th in nation; 400 free relay finishes 13th
The Tigers finished 30th at this years' NCAA Division III Championships at Emory University in Atlanta. On Saturday night, DePauw's 400 free relay (Josh Heisler, Elliott Mueller, Jason Gray, Dan Garrison) finished 13th in 3:07.39. Heisler finished 18th in the 100 free in 46.95 and Garrison was 25th in 47.48. In the 200 back, Mueller placed 26th in 1:58.12. Results

800 free relay finishes 11th; Garrison earns honorable mention all-America in the 100 butterfly
The Tigers' 800 free relay (Jason Gray, Josh Heisler, Elliott Mueller and Dan Garrison) finished 11th in a school-record time of 6:59.66 at the NCAA Division III Championships at Emory University in Atlanta to earn honorable mention all-America honors. Garrison, who just missed qualifying for Friday's finals in the 100-yard butterfly by .01 seconds in the prelims, placed 16th in the event in the consolation finals to earn honorable mention all-America. In prelims, the 200 medley relay (Garrison, Mueller, Gray, Heisler) was 17th in 1:37.20 and Mueller was 28th in the 100 breast in 59.98 seconds. Results

200 free relay earns honorable mention all-America distinction 
The DePauw 200 free relay (Josh Heisler, Elliott Mueller, Jason Gray, Dan Garrison) placed 14th in 1:25.82 at the NCAA Division III Championships at Emory University to earn honorable mention all-America honors. In the prelims, the relay finished 11th with a time time of 1:25.49 to advance to the consolation finals of the event. In other action on Thursday, Mueller was 48th in the 200 IM in 1:59.28, Heisler was 30th in the 50 free and Garrison 35th in 21.80.  Results

Tigers close out regular season with loss to Wabash
Despite national qualifying dives on both the one- and three-meter boards by freshman Nate Moch, the Tigers fell to rival Wabash College, 165-135 in the season's final dual meet. The meet was also the final meet at the Erdmann Natatorium for seniors Jason Gray and Kevin Hurley. RESULTS

Tigers fall at Kalamazoo
Despite a strong performance from the entire team, the Tigers came up short in a 156-87 loss to Kalamazoo. Three Tigers came away with individual wins. Dan Garrison won the 100 butterfly and achieved a NCAA B cut, with a time of 51.98. Josh Heisler took the 100 freestyle and Wally Bennett captured the 100 backstroke. RESULTS

Tigers top Titans, 230-46, to move to 9-1
Dan Garrison won three individual races leading the Tigers to a 230-46 win over Illinois Wesleyan. Garrison placed first in 50 freestyle, 200 backstroke, and the 200 individual medley. Mike Whitesell was also a multiple winner, taking first in both the 100 and 200 butterfly. Other individual winners included Landon Williams, Jim Mahoney, Josh Heisler, Brett Schoff, Elliott Mueller, Peter Beckette, Kevin Hurley, and Glen McCain. Tigers finish fourth at Vincennes Invitational; Gray is high-point swimmer
DePauw placed fourth at the Vincennes Invitational and Jason Gray was the high-point swimmer. Gray posted firsts in the 100 and 200 free and was second in the 50. Elliott Mueller became the first swimmer in DePauw history to swim all four strokes in under one minute as he went 59.91 in the 100 breast. His previous best times in the other three were 54.13 in the 100 back, 51.44 in the 100 free and 52.79 in the 100 fly. The Tigers' fourth place finish came even though only eight DePauw swimmers competed in the semester-ending event. MEET RESULTS

Tigers finish second at DePauw Invitational

Tigers finish second at Wabash Invitational; Garrison notches "B" cut and sets meet record
The Tigers placed second at the annual Wabash Invitational and were led by junior Dan Garrison who won the 100 butterfly in a meet record and NCAA 'B' qualifying time of 51.75 seconds. COMPLETE RESULTS

Tigers improve to 7-1 with sweep of Wheaton and Transylvania
Junior Dan Garrison led the Tigers to a clean sweep as they defeated Wheaton 125-96 and Transylvania 168-51. Garrison took top honors on both the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly. Freshman Landon Williams swam a season best in his winning performance in the 500 Freestyle, while junior Glen McCain won the three-meter diving competition. The 200 free relay of Garrison, senior Jason Gray, sophomore Brian Cordell and freshman Josh Heisler finished the meet with a first. RESULTS

Tigers improve to 3-1 with 177-44 win over Centre

DePauw improves to 2-1 with convincing win over Sewanee
Freshman Landon Williams led the Tigers to a 147.5-89.5 victory over Sewanee with wins in the 1000 and 500 freestyle events. Classmate Josh Heisler picked up his first collegiate win, his came in the 100 freestyle, while another freshman, Brett Schoff, took one-meter diving. Junior Clint Troxel also picked up a first in the 200 butterfly and junior diver Glen McCain claimed top marks in the three-meter diving. MEET RESULTS

Tigers open with win over Indianapolis and loss to Washington
The Tiger men opened the 1999-2000 season with a weekend split at the Erdmann Natatorium as they defeated the University of Indianapolis 155-80 and lost to Washington University 134-106. MEET RESULTS
