May 12, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - Three DePauw players have earned spots on the All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Team.
Junior Evan Webeler was named the SCAC Player of the Year with 83 points and three first-place votes. Sophomore Kortney Keith also earned a spot on the all-conference team and junior Jeff Zanchelli was an honorable mention selection.
Webeler, a qualifer for the NCAA Division III Singles Championship, has a 22-10 singles record this season and a 20-9 doubles mark. A three-time all-SCAC performer, Webeler has posted career records of 59-27 in singles and 48-31 in doubles.
Keith has a 22-9 singles record this season and a 23-8 mark in doubles play along with career records of 44-13 in singles and 38-13 in doubles.
Zanchelli also earned all-SCAC honors in 2005 and has recorded a 13-8 singles mark and a 22-8 doubles record this season. His career records include 25-14 in singles and 50-28 in doubles.
Scott Swanson and Bryan Heck earned spots on the SCAC all-tournament team in singles, while Webeler and Swanson earned spots on the doubles team.
DePauw finished second at the SCAC Championship and will compete in the Division III Quarterfinals on May 17. The Tigers are 21-6 and have tied the school record for wins in a season.
