Tigers place second at GLCA Championships; Wellman places first

Led by a first-place finish by Graham Wellman and a third-place showing by Simon Flory, the DePauw men's cross country team placed second at the Great Lakes Colleges Association Championships in Richmond, Indiana.

 

Wellman covered the 8,000 meters in 26:12 to finish ahead of Albion's Nick Mockeridge by nine seconds. Flory finished in 26:35.

 

Other DePauw scorers included Matthew Behrensmeyer in 19th at 27:59, Peter Hogg in 22nd (28:06) and Doug Peer in 25th (28:16).

 

DePauw, ranked 20th in Division III, finished with 70 points behind Albion's 27.
