Six Tigers named all-SCAC first team; Shephard named Special Teams Player of the Year

Six DePauw players have been selected to the all-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference team and one named Special Teams Player of the Year.
Jamarcus Shephard, who leads the SCAC and ranks second in Division III in kickoff return average was chosen as the conference's Special Teams Player of the Year. Shephard returned two kickoffs for touchdowns of 95 and 91 yards against Millsaps.
Shephard also was selected to the all-SCAC first team as a receiver after finishing the season with 69 receptions. Joining him on the first team are left tackle John Roth, defensive end Joshua Swift, linebacker Jeremy Legge, cornerback David Blackburn and punter Ross Wiethoff.
Andy Yoder and Brian Culp were named to the second team, while Matt King, Mike Laszynski, Jackson Rust, Ross Sandefer and Justin Tillis were honorable mention choices.
