Tigers fall in Transylvania Tipoff Championship game

Aaron Drake and Derek Lawrence notched career highs with 19 and 17 points, respectively, but it wasn't enough as Wisconsin-Whitewater beat the Tigers 82-68 in the Transylvania Tipoff Tournament in Lexington, Ky.

 

The Warhawks shot 58 percent from the field including 63 percent in the first half in building a 46-35 advantage at the intermission. DePauw's connected on just 44 percent from the floor and hit just two of 16 three-point field goals.

 

Five Warhawks finished in double figures led by Matt Jones with 19. DePauw's Alex Stewart was selected to the all-tournament team.

 

DePauw returns to action this Saturday, November 29, when they host the first annual Mike Rokicki Community Versus Cancer Challenge.
