Wellman returns to NCAA Championships

DePauw junior Graham Wellman, a fifth-place finisher and all-American in the 5,000-meter run at last year's NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, has earned automatic qualification into this year's Championships which begin on Friday at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

 

Wellman ran the fastest 5,000-meter time in Division III last Friday at the Alex Wilson Invitational at Notre Dame by finishing 12th in 14:26.78. Since the race was run on a 300-meter track, the time was converted and he is currently seeded second for NCAA Championships.

 

The men's 5,000-meter finals will begin at 5:45 p.m. CST on Saturday, March 13.
