Wellman earns indoor all-America honors for second straight year

DePauw junior Graham Wellman finished seventh in the 5,000-meter run at the 2004 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater to earn all-America honors for the second consecutive year.
A fifth-place finisher and all-American in the 5,000-meter run at last year's Championships hosted by DePauw, Wellman finished in a time of 14:44.62. David Cisewski of Wisconsin-Oshkosh won the event in 14:30.58.
Wellman entered the Championships with the fastest 5,000-meter time of 14:26.78 when he finished 12th at the Alex Wilson Invitational at Notre Dame on March 5.Since the race was run on a 300-meter track, the time was converted and he entered the national meet seeded second.
