Tigers finish ninth at Illini Spring Classic

Urbana, Ill. - The Division III's top-ranked Tigers finished ninth among 12 teams at the Illini Spring Classic at the Stone Creek Golf Course. DePauw, the only Division III team in the field, shot a two-round 640 including a 317 in Saturday's second round. Toledo won the tournament with a 602.

 

Jessica Schneider, the top-ranked Division III golfer, led the Tigers with a 150 to finish tied for eighth. Schneider shot a 73 in the second round. Lindsay Amore tied for 22nd with a 156 followed by Deborah Garriott with a 166 and tied for 46th. Sarah Gates shot a 168 to place 50th and Lauren Brummett finished in a tie for 56th with a 174.

 

The Tigers return to action on April 17 at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational.
