Nelson named to all-SCAC team; doubles team named to all-tourney squad

Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis

 

Greencastle, Ind. - In voting by the conference's head coaches, DePauw sophomore Alex Nelson has earned a spot on the 2004 All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Team.

 

Nelson played number one singles throughout the season for the Tigers and posted a 15-18 record. She also finished the year with a 16-16 doubles record. Sophomore Jill Anderson and freshman Claire Ellis earned all-SCAC honorable mention.

 

At the SCAC Championship in Atlanta las month, the tandem of sophomore Ashley Baker and senior Katherine Nicolson were named to the all-tournament team after posting a 3-0 record at number three doubles.

 

DePauw finished the season with a 10-15 overall record and fourth in the SCAC.
