Flory earns all-America honors at NCAA Championships

ncaa528042.jpgDecatur, Ill. - DePauw senior Simon Flory has earned all-America honors at the 2004 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships following an eighth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

 

Flory finished eighth in a time of 9:16.33 after entering the meet with the 11th fastest time in the country. John LeRoy of Wisconsin-Oshkosh won the event in 9:00.18. A four-time Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference champion in the steeplechase, Flory finished 10th in Division III in the event in 2002 and 13th last year.
