10th-ranked DePauw women win second straight SCAC title

CLINTON, Miss. - Natalie Shaffer won her third sraight Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference title and led DePauw to its second consecutive SCAC crown.

 

DePauw won with 40 points followed by Trinity with 61 and Rhodes with 87. Shaffer won in 18:31.54 followed by Liz Ulrich in fifth in 19:05.37. Other DePauw all-conference finishers included Lauren Hendrix (9th, 19:28.96) and Emily Mason (10th, 19:29.77). Tiffany Carson rounded out DePauw's scorers with a 15th place showing in 19:48.78.

 

The 10th-ranked Tigers return to action at the Division III regionals at Alma, Mich., on November 13.
