Tiger men's hoops squad picked third in SCAC preseason poll

GREENCASTLE, Ind. - In voting by the 10 hea
d men's basketball coaches, DePauw is picked to finish third in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference standings.
DePauw totaled 73 points behind defending Trinity which totaled 98 and Rose-Hulman which had 92. Trinity picked up eight first-place votes, while the Engineers garnered the other two. Southwestern was picked fourth with 71 points followed by Oglethorpe, Centre, Rhodes, Sewanee, Millsaps and Hendrix.
The Tigers finished the 2003-04 season with a 16-10 overall record and a 9-5 SCAC mark which was good for a third-place tie in the conference standings.
After an exhibition game at Northwestern, DePauw opens the regular season on Friday, November 19, against 23rd-ranked Randolph-Macon at the Illinois Wesleyan Tipoff Tournament.
