Tiger men's hoops squad picked third in SCAC preseason poll

hanger102704.jpgGREENCASTLE, Ind. - In voting by the 10 head men's basketball coaches, DePauw is picked to finish third in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference standings.

 

DePauw totaled 73 points behind defending Trinity which totaled 98 and Rose-Hulman which had 92. Trinity picked up eight first-place votes, while the Engineers garnered the other two. Southwestern was picked fourth with 71 points followed by Oglethorpe, Centre, Rhodes, Sewanee, Millsaps and Hendrix.

 

The Tigers finished the 2003-04 season with a 16-10 overall record and a 9-5 SCAC mark which was good for a third-place tie in the conference standings.

 

After an exhibition game at Northwestern, DePauw opens the regular season on Friday, November 19, against 23rd-ranked Randolph-Macon at the Illinois Wesleyan Tipoff Tournament.
