argetsinger2004.jpgDecember 14, 2004, Greencastle, Ind. - In the midst of a five-game win streak, the 6-1 DePauw women's basketball team is ranked sixth in the latest USA Today/ESPN/WBCA Top 25 Coaches' Poll. That ranking is down one spot from fifth in last week. DePauw is ranked seventh in this week's D3hoops.com Top 25 poll.

New York University and Bowdoin remained ranked first and second from last year's poll, respectively. Hardin-Simmons is third followed by Capital, Messiah and DePauw.

The Tigers are the highest-ranked team with a loss. That loss came on November 20 to ninth-ranked Washington (Mo.).

DePauw returns to action on Tuesday, December 21, when they face 7-0 Ripon in the D-3 Desert Shootout in Las Vegas. Tipoff for that game is 5:45 p.m. PST (8:45 in Greencastle) and the live broadcast can be heard on WGRE.
