25th-ranked DePauw men in 12th midway through the NCAA Division III Championships

jay051005.jpgMay 10, 2005, Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. - The 25th-ranked DePauw men's golf team shot a second-round 308 and moved up one spot to 12th place at the NCAA Division III Championships at the Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort. The Tigers have a two-round total of 622.

Jay Burkhardt (pictured) shot a 74 in the second round and is tied for 12th at 148. Brian Gooch is tied for 22nd after shooting a 78 today and 152 for the tournament.

Rob Harper shot a second-round 78 and is tied for 64th with a 158, while Josh Abrams is tied for 92nd with a 164 after shooting a 79 this afternoon. Sean Toddy shot an 82 in the second round for a 171 total

Guilford College leads with a two-round total of 587, while Dave Patterson of Guilford is the leading individual at 138.
