August 27, 2005, Angola, Ind. - The DePauw women's golf team opened the 2005-06 season by shooting a 315 and finishing second at the Tri-State Invitational.

Lauren Brummett paced the Tigers with 77 which was good for fifth place. Lisa Chamber and Ali Murtaugh each shot 78 and tied for sixth.

Kristen Kriegshauser tied for 10th with an 82, while Sarah Gates tied for 23rd with an 86 and Amanda Bollman finished in a tie for 47th with a 98.

The University of Indianapolis won with a 310 and their top player, Kristi Piepenbrink was the medalist with a 73.

DePauw competes in the Ferris State Invitational, September 3-4.
