DePauw opens SCAC play with shutout win over Rose-Hulman

October 1, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - The DePauw men's soccer team improved to 5-2-1 overall and 1-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 1-0 win over Rose-Hulman. The Engineers dropped to 7-1-1 overall and 0-1 in the SCAC.

Craig Lippincott scored the game-winning goal with an assist from Scott Noel at 26:10.

Rose-Hulman outshot the Tigers 9-8 and held a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks.

John Fenley notched the shutout in goal for the Tigers with a pair of saves, while Trey Buck had four saves for Rose-Hulman.

DePauw returns to SCAC play on Friday, October 7, when it hosts Southwestern.
