Manchester defeats Maryville in Rokicki opening game

November 26, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - Three Spartans scored in double figures to lead Manchester to a 67-62 victory over Maryville (Mo.) University in the opening game of the Mike Rokicki Community Versus Cancer Challenge.

Kevin Kuhn paced 2-2 Manchester with 16 points, while Eric Berger added 15 and Derek Hammond followed with 10. Berger led the Spartans with nine rebounds.

Mike Turpen led 1-3 Maryville with 17 points, while Ryan Klein added 11. Stephen Bash grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds for the Saints.

Manchester advances to Sunday's 4 p.m. championship game against the winner of the DePauw-D'Youville game and Maryville faces the loser in Sunday's 2 p.m. contest.
