DePauw still fifth in both national polls

DSC_1346.jpgFebruary 14, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - The DePauw women's basketball team, winners of 22 straight games, is ranked fifth in both the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll and the USA Today/ESPN Division III Coaches' Poll. The Tigers picked up one first place vote in the coaches' poll.

DePauw improved to 23-1 overall and 13-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with an 83-31 win at Centre on Friday and a 79-51 victory at Sewanee on Sunday.

The Tigers' 23 wins was the most in Division III entering this week and their .958 winning percentage ranks second. DePauw's 22-game streak is a school and SCAC record.

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, February 18, when it hosts Rose-Hulman in a 6 p.m. contest The game can be heard live on WGRE.
