Bondi, Ferguson earn WBCA honors

DSC_8481.jpgMarch 10, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw senior forward Liz Bondi and graduate assistant coach Dana Ferguson earned honors from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association in announcements made on Thursday.

Bondi was named to Kodak/WBCA All-Region 6 team after previously sweeping Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year and tournament MVP honors. Bondi leads the 28-1 Tigers into the round of 16 with team highs of 17.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game and ranks 19th in Division III with 56.4 percent shooting from the field. COMPLETE RELEASE

Ferguson was named the WBCA Graduate Assistant Coach of the Year. A 2003 DePauw graduate, Ferguson volunteered for one season with the Tigers before becoming a graduate assistant the last two seasons. In those two years, DePauw has posted a 51-7 record. COMPLETE RELEASE
