September 2, 2006, Columbus, Ohio - DePauw lost both of its Saturday matches at the Capital Invitational and dropped to 1-3 on the season.

Host Capital beat the Tigers 3-1 (30-28, 30-28, 26-30, 30-27), while Heidelberg topped DePauw 3-2 (30-10, 27-30, 30-23, 31-33, 15-12). DePauw's Kim Hamer was one of seven players named to the all-tournament team.

DePauw returns action on Friday, September 8, at the Hanover Invitational.
