Marks earns conference and national honors

September 13, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw junior running back Jeremiah Marks has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week and was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his performance in the Tigers' 25-13 win over Anderson.
Marks rushed for a career-high 200 yards on 32 carries in DePauw's win over Anderson. The 200 yards were the second-highest single-game total in school history.
His two touchdown rushes came in the final 3:59 of the contest and lifted the Tigers from a 13-12 deficit to the victory. He also caught two passes for 39 yards. He totaled 88 rushing yards in the final eight minutes of the game.
The SCAC honors is his second as he also was the conference player of the week during the 2005 season. Marks moved to sixth in school history with 2,003 career rushing yards and 174 total points and is second with 28 career rushing touchdowns. The 1-0 Tigers host Hope College on Saturday at noon.
