26th-ranked Tigers win fourth straight SCAC title

October 28, 2006, Danville, Ky. - The 26th-ranked DePauw women's cross country team won its fourth straight Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championship and its sixth in nine seasons of SCAC competition.
The Tigers won with 35 points, while Colorado College was second with 56 and Trinity was third with 61.
For the fifth straight year, DePauw claimed the individual winner as Lauren Reich won in 23:31.13. Taylor Penrod earned all-SCAC honors for the second straight year with a fifth-place finish in 24:12.41.
Liz Ulrich finished eighth in 24:19.21 and earned all-SCAC distinction for the third time. Abby Laymon was 10th in 24:29.26, while Emily Mason was 11th in 24:31.71 and Alison Case rounded out the Tigers' all-SCAC runners in 14th place in 24:35.67. Mason's all-SCAC performance marked the third of her career.
DePauw competes in the Great Lakes Regional on Saturday, November 11.
