April 4, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw outfielder Chelsy Patterson has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Co-Offensive Player of the Week for her performance in games from March 26 through April 1. She shared the honor with Christina Carni of Trinity.
During the Tigers' eight games in Florida, Patterson hit .517 (15-29) with 10 runs scored and 11 RBI. She had two triples among her 15 hits.
The Tigers went 7-1 and improved to 19-1 on the season - the program's best-ever start to a season.
For the season, Patterson is batting .471 (tied for third in the SCAC) with 23 runs scored (fourth). Her 33 hits ties for fourth in the league standings.
