Fifth-ranked DePauw advances to NCAA third round with win over Baldwin-Wallace

May 5, 2007, Granville, Ohio - Fifth-ranked DePauw improved to 19-2 and advanced to the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship third round following a 5-0 second-round win over Baldwin-Wallace. The Yellow Jackets finished the season at 25-3.

In Sunday's noon third-round match, DePauw takes on Denison which defeated Carnegie Mellon, 5-2.

DePauw won all three doubles matches as Liz Bondi and Amrita Padda defeated Britney Shy and Tiffany Allison 8-1 and Sallie Crawford and Greer Mackie topped Andrea Isaac and Meggie Glassburn, 8-3. Erin Andrade and Kristine Lewry rounded out doubles play with an 8-2 victory over Krista Marshall and Alyssa Trampert.

In number one singles play, Bondi defeated Isaac 6-1, 6-0 while Lewry topped Andrea Essig 6-0, 6-0 at the sixth spot.
