DePauw Loses in Overtime at Sewanee

September 16, 2007, Sewanee, Tenn. - After battling back to tie the game late in regulation, the Tigers dropped a 3-2 overtime decision at Sewanee. DePauw dropped to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference while Sewanee improved to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
Ashley Fehr gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead with 15 minutes left in the first half before Sewanee's Claiborne Buckingham tied it in the second half and Marcy Tickner put the hosts again five minutes later.
With 18 seconds remaining, DePauw forced the overtime on Fehr's second goal of the game, but Tickner delivered the game winner in overtime on Carly Grimm's assist.
DePauw had 16 cormers to Sewanee's three and Liz Attewell had eight saves for the Tigers, while Clarkie Crawford posted 15 for Sewanee.
The Tigers travel to Denison on Saturday.Back
