Tigers Remain in Top Ten in Both National Polls

February 20, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - Following Saturday's 85-51 win over Centre, the 20-3 Tigers remained eighth in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll and moved up one spot to seventh in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll.
In the D3hoops.com rankings, DePauw totaled 442 points and remained eighth for the second straight week and in the top 10 for the seventh time this season. Hope College leads with 615 points and 15 first-place votes, while Howard Payne is second with the remaining 10 first-place votes add 605 points.
Since the D3hoops.com rankings began in 1999, DePauw has received votes in 136 of the 137 polls, earned a top 25 ranking 108 times and a spot in the top 10 for 41 weeks.
DePauw totaled 145 points and moved to seventh in the coaches' poll. Hope leads with 199points and seven first-place votes, while Howard Payne is second with one first-place vote and 191 points.
The Tigers take their 12-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference record into Friday night's game at Sewanee. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CST. DePauw can earn the top seed in the SCAC Eastern Division with a win over Sewanee or against 25th-ranked Oglethorpe on Sunday. DePauw clinched its eighth straight 20-win season and 12th in the last 13 years with the win on Saturday.
