Three Tigers Named to All-SCAC Men's Team

moore122105.jpgMarch 1, 2008, Conway, Ark. - In voting by the conference's head coaches, three DePauw players have been named to the all-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference team. The complete release is available here.

Junior Mike Moore (pictured left) earned first team honors for the first time in his career and ranked third in overall voting including a pair of player of the year votes. He was a second team choice in 2007 and honorable mention as a freshman.

Through the conference tournament quarterfinals, Moore leads the SCAC with 6.5 assists per game and is third with 2.5 three-pointers made per game and a 1.95 assist-to-turnover ratio. He also ranks fourth with 17.3 points per game, sixth with 40.5 percent three-point shooting and eighth with 1.5 steals.

schott112806.jpgSenior Stephen Schott (pictured right) was a second team selection for the second straight year after earning third team honors in 2006 and honorable mention in 2005. He ranks second in the conference in field goal shooting at 53.8 percent and is fifth in rebouding with 7.7 per game and ninth in scoring with 14.3 points per outing.

Senior Brian Oilar earned third team honors in his first selection to the all-SCAC team. He ranks third in the SCAC with 53.5 percent field goal shooting and fourth wtih 8.2 rebounds per game. He also is ninth with 39.5 percent shooting from three-point range and is 20th in scoring at 12.3 points per game.

The Tigers bowed out of the SCAC tournament yesterday after an 82-77 double overtime loss to Trinity and dropped to 19-7 on the season.
