Soultz Earns Tigers' First National Player of the Week Honor

March 6, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - Sophomore pitcher Megan Soultz has been named DePauw's first National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Player of the Week for her performances in the week ending March 2.
Soultz led eighth-ranked DePauw to four wins on the week, including a five-inning no-hitter against Transylvania, the second of her career. Her 13 strikeouts versus then No. 14 Coe tied a school record.
For the week, the Carmel, Ind., native had 39 strikeouts in 26 innings, giving up just two earned runs for a 0.54 ERA.
Earlier in the week, she was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.
