Four Tigers Earn All-America Honors During First Day of NCAA Championships

March 13, 2008, Oxford, Ohio- The 15th-ranked Tigers picked up all-America awards in four different events after the first of three days of competition at the NCAA Division III Championships at Miami University.
DePauw totaled 62 points and is in eighth place. Kenyon leads with 205 followed by Amherst with 122 and Denison at 114.
The 200-yard freestyle relay of Katie Doogan, Katie Massey, Amanda Stier and Maddison Hamil finished fifth in 1:36.62 to earn all-America honors.
DePauw's 400 medley relay of Doogan; Hamil, Stier and Massey also earned all-America distinction with a sixth-place finish in 3:55.80.
Katie Doogan earned honorable mention all-America honors in the 200 individual medley in 2:07.72 as did Hamil in the 50 free in 24.26 seconds.
Competition continues on Friday and Saturday.
