Sixth-ranked Tigers Sweep Saturday Games; Improve to 11-1

March 15, 2008, Ridgeland, Miss. - Sixth-ranked DePauw improved to 11-1 on the season and extended its win streak to 11 with a pair of shutouts at the Millsaps Classic.
The Tigers defeated Trinity by a 3-0 score and Colorado College, 10-0, in five innings.
DePauw scored all three of its runs against Trinity in the top of the fourth as Ashlee Anton hit a two-out solo homer and Emma Minx knocked in a pair with a double. Anton finished with two of the Tigers' five hits. Christina Carni had two of Trinity's three hits.
Megan Soultz improved to 10-1 after striking out 11 and walking just one while giving up just three hits. Helen Thompson suffered the loss.
In the Colorado College win, DePauw scored five in the first, two in the third and three in the fifth. Carolyn Bartlett and Brianne Weeks each had three of the Tigers' 13 hits, while Kelly Schwerzler and Ashlee Anton each had two. Anton and Bartlett each drove in two. Three Colorado College players collected one hit each.
Soultz moved to 11-1 after striking out four and allowing just three hits. Sara Robinson suffered the loss.
DePauw takes on Rhodes and Austin on Sunday. All games with Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference schools are non-conference contests.
