Softball Ranked Third in Nation for Third Straight Week

sb040108.jpgApril 10, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - The 29-1 DePauw softball team claimed the third spot in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Top 25 Poll for the third straight week.

The Tigers, winners of 29 straight games, collected 183 points, while the University of Texas-Tyler picked up all eight first-place votes for 200 points and Lousiana College was second with 189 points.

DePauw returns to Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action this weekend when it hosts Millsaps College in a battle for first place in the SCAC Eastern Division as both enter with 4-0 conference records.

Saturday's doubleheader, which will be carried live by WGRE, starts at 1 p.m. and Sunday's twinbill is scheduled for a Noon start.
