Riffle Earns SCAC Honor

Riffle_Sarah_2007_FH.jpgSeptember 23, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw junior forward Sarah Riffle has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week for her performance in last weekend's wins over Lindenwood and Hendrix. She shared the honor with Centre's Teresa Johnstone.

In Sunday's 5-1 win over Hendrix, Riffle scored two goals including the game-winner to help the Tigers improve to 2-0 in conference play. Riffle scored both of her goals in the first half of the game and had six of the Tigers' 21 shots. Riffle also scored two goals in the 4-1 victory against Lindenwood last Friday for a total of four and leads the team with eight goals for the year.

The Tigers are off to their best start since 2001 with a record of 5-1. DePauw hosts Centre on Saturday, September 27, at 11 a.m.
