November 19, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - Led by junior goalkeeper Ted Jacobi's (pictured right) selection as Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year, DePauw placed four players on the all-conference team in voting by the 12 head coaches. The entire team is available here.
Jacobi played all but 45 minutes in goal for the Tigers this season and posted a 0.63 goals against average which ranked 24th in Division III as of November 16.
His .878 save percentage ranked eighth in the nation as he helped DePauw to an 8-4-6 season in which the Tigers allowed just nine goals. Jacobi led the SCAC with nine shutouts and was a two-time SCAC Player of the Week selection. He was the Tigers' lone first team selection.
Junior defender Beau Sorg and senior forward Mike Harris were second team choices, while senior midfielder Adam Davis earned third team accolades. Harris was the conference's Newcomer of the Year in 2007 and a second team selection, while Sorg and Davis earned all-SCAC honors for the first time.
