Jacobi Named SCAC Defensive Player of the Week

jacobi_ted_2008msoc.jpgNovember 11, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw junior goalkeeper Ted Jacobi has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for matches played from November 3-9.

In 155 minutes over the weekend, Jacobi allowed just one goal and totaled nine saves. Jacobi played the second half of Friday's Southwestern game and recorded two saves without allowing a goal in 1-0 loss.

In 110 minutes against top-ranked Trinity on Sunday he recorded seven saves and allowed just one goal as DePauw tied the previously unbeaten and untied guests.

For the season, Jacobi has a 0.63 goals against average with an SCAC-best nine shutouts.
