18th-ranked Tigers Improve to 5-1

January 9, 2009, Terre Haute, Ind. — The 18th-ranked Tigers improved to 5-1 on the season following a 147-61 win at Rose-Hulman.
Callie Boehme (pictured), Catie Baker and Amanda Stier each picked up a pair of firsts in the win. Boehme won the 1000-yard freestyle in 10:55.03 and took first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.09, while Catie Baker won the 200 free in 2:03.56 and the 100 butterfly in 1:03.56.
Stier finished first in the 200 individual medley in 2:13.83 and in the 100 free in 54.53 seconds. Catie King won one-meter diving with 168.5 points, while Elizabeth Medlock claimed the top spot in the 100 backstroke in 1:06.66.
DePauw's 200 free relay of Lindsay Bauman, Claire McVey, Baker and Sabrina Long wrapped up the meet with a win in 1:53.60.
The Tigers compete in the Washington-St. Louis Invitational on January 16-17.
