Tigers Climb Three Spots in National Poll; Ranked 22nd in Division III

IMG_5447.jpgFebruary 10, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. —  Following a weekend sweep, DePauw moved up three spots to 22nd in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25 men's basketball poll.

The Tigers totaled 84 points after making their 2008-09 debut in the poll last week at 25th. St. Thomas (Minn.) leads the rankings with 617 points and 17 first-place votes, while Washington-St. Louis is second with 608 points and the remaining eight first-place votes.

DePauw is 17-5 overall and 9-2 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference after winning last Friday at Birmingham-Southern and Sunday at Rhodes. The Tigers have won 12 of their last 13 after starting the season at 5-4.

First place in the SCAC East Division will be at stake on Saturday when DePauw travels to Danville, Ky., to face 23rd-ranked Centre. The Colonels are 17-4 overall and also 9-2 in SCAC play.
