Cross Country Teams Earn National Academic Honors

March 17, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — The DePauw women's and men's cross country programs have each been named Division III All-Academic teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Meet and have a minimum 3.10 team cumulative grade point average.
The Tiger women, who finished 26th at the 2008 NCAA Championships, were among a record 156 Division schools to earn the honor and compiled a first semester team grade point average of 3.450. DePauw's men's team was one of 103 institutions to earn the honor and posted a 3.310 first semester grade point average.
