Tigers Finish 12th at Rain-shortened Northern Kentucky Invitational

March 29, 2009, Perry Park, Ky. — The 10th-ranked Tigers shot an opening-round 323 and finished in a tie for 12th at the Northern Kentucky Invitational at the Perry Park Golf Resort. The tournament was shortened to one round due to rain today.
Taylor Beaty paced the Tigers with a 77 which was tied for 18th, while Kelly Gaughan shot an 81 to tie for 41st and Erin Kielty had an 82 to tie for 60th. Nikki Garza and Natalie Gough rounded out DePauw's team scorers as each shot 83 which was tied for 66th. Playing as individuals, Ali Rifkin shot an 86 and Annie Mail an 87.
Indianapolis won the tournament with a 300, while six players shared the top score of 73.
DePauw returns to action on April 9 when it competes in the Big Four at Crooked Stick in Carmel.
