Tigers Ranked in Both National Polls

rachelgill2007.jpgApril 2, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. —  DePauw remains ranked in both national softball polls as the Tigers are 13th in the Division III Softball - The Newsletter rankings and 15th in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll.

The Tigers are 13-7 on the season after dropping a 3-0 decision at Illinois Wesleyan (ranked 18th/20th) on Tuesday.

DePauw returns to Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday and Sunday with 1 p.m. and Noon doubleheaders, respectively. WGRE will carry all four games live. The Tigers are 4-0 in SCAC play, while Sewanee is 0-4.

Six of the Tigers' seven losses are to teams currently ranked in the NFCA Top 25 poll including top-ranked Texas-Tyler and second-ranked Louisiana College.
