April 5, 2009, Granville, Ohio —  DePauw shot an opening-round 294 and leads the Ted Barclay Spring Invitational hosted by Denison University.

Ronnie Harris leads the field with a 71, while Chase King and Peter Haller are tied for seventh at 74. Ryan Berra is tied for 12th with a 75 and Jake Walsh is tied for 60th with an 82.
