Barrow Earns SCAC Pitcher of the Week Honors

barrow_kristin_2008DPUsb.jpgApril 7, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw junior pitcher Kristin Barrow was selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performances in games played March 30-April 5.

Barrow started both games of last Saturday's doubleheader against Sewanee and picked up a pair of wins. She tossed a one-hit shutout in the first game and allowed just three hits in the nightcap. She struck out career highs of 10 in each win.

The 16-7 Tigers, ranked 13th by Division III Softball - The Newsletter and 15th by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, return to action on Friday with a 4 p.m. home SCAC doubleheader with Rhodes.
