Piatek Named an All-America Scholar

piatek_joey_200809mgolf.jpgJuly 10, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. —  DePauw's Joey Piatek (Burns Harbor, Ind./Munster) has been named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Piatek, a May graduate and an economics major, competed in 22 rounds and posted a 77.6 stroke average in 22 rounds. In all, 82 men's collegiate golfers were recognized in Division III.

Student-athletes must be a junior or senior, have competed in at least 79 percent of the school's scheduled competitive rounds during the year and have maintained at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average.
