Wrona Named to D3football.com Team of the Week

68_DSC9793RF_NFc.JPGOctober 6, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. —  DePauw junior safety Thomas Wrona has been selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his performance in DePauw's 29-27 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win over Millsaps.

Wrona totaled seven tackles including six solos in leading the Tigers' defense. He also added one tackle for loss.

His tackle of Millsaps receiver Shane Bowser inside the 5-yard line on the Majors' two-point conversion attempt with 3:37 left preserved the Tigers' lead and eventual victory.

Yesterday, Wrona was chosen as the SCAC Defensive Player of the Week as he joined Spud Dick (offensive) and Jordan Havercamp (special teams) in the Tigers' sweep of the conference's weekly honors.

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, October 10, when it travels to Rhodes College in Memphis. That game can be heard live on WGRE (91.5 FM).
