DePauw Leads after First Round of Small College Classic

October 10, 2009, Clayton, Ind. — DePauw shot an opening-round 292 and leads the DePauw Small College Classic by 11 strokes over Otterbein at 303. Wittenberg is third at 305.
The Tigers' Peter Haller leads the tournament with a 70, while Chase King is second at 72. Ronnie Harris is tied for sixth at 74 with Nick Reardon and Ryan Berra each shooting a 76 and tying for 12th.
Playing as individuals for the Tigers, Matt Coffin shot a 76 followed by Jake Walsh at 78 and Nathan Smith and Stewart Burns at 79 apiece. Lucas Crowley and Patrick Herrod each shot 82 and Kyle Robbins finished with an 85.
Wabash's Sam Russell fired a hole-in-one on number 11, a par 3, 193-yard hole.
