Reich Earns SCAC Runner of the Week Honors

reich_lauren_2008wcc.jpgOctober 21, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. —  DePauw senior Lauren Reich has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for her perfomance in last Saturday's  Brooks Invitational at Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Reich placed fifth out of 466 runners and her time of 21:02 on the 6K course was a personal best and established a school record. She led the Tigers to a fourth-place team finish.

The honor is Reich's fourth of her career as she also earned it once each in 2006 and 2007 and in September of this year.

The 25th-ranked Tigers compete in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, October 31, in Atlanta.
